Virtual Magnifying Glass 3.3.1
Virtual Magnifying Glass is a free, open source, cross-platform screen magnification tool. It is simple, customizable, and easy-to-use.
System requirements:
Microsoft® Windows® Vista, XP, 2000, NT, ME, 98 or 95
or a UNIX system running X11 (any Linux Distribution, FreeBSD, etc)
or Mac OS X 10.4 or superior
800x600 or higher screen resolution and at least 16-bit colors recommended
A good display adapter and CPU recommended for smooth performance
Multiple-display systems are supported on Windows 98/ME, Windows NT4/2000/XP
Multiple-display systems are not supported on Windows 95 (Magnifying Glass will be run in the primary display only)
On multiple-display systems, the magnifying glass may not display at the correct location if the monitors have a vertical offset between them.
Under Windows®, Magnifying Glass can be started from its own icon like any other program. On Unixes (Linux or FreeBSD) you can start the magnifier by opening a console window and typing "vmg" without the quotes.
The program shows a magnifying glass lens that follows the mouse movement. You can move the lens around the screen to view magnification of any screen area. To close the lens, click the left mouse button.
Virtual Magnifying Glass also adds it's own system tray icon. Left-click on the icon offers a shortcut for launching the lens again.
If you ever decide to uninstall Magnifying Glass it is important to terminate the program first if it is still running. To do this,
Right-click the Magnifying Glass taskbar icon. Select Exit from the pop-up menu that appears. The Magnifying Glass taskbar icon disappears and it is safe to go to the Magnifying Glass sub-menu from the Start Menu and choose Uninstall Magnifying Glass.
