Belleville
The Wayne Mobile Health Unit will be at Faith Community Church for its Health Day event on Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Services provided will include blood pressure screening, diabetes, cholesterol, and kidney function screening. Standard flu vaccines will be administered, depending on availability and will be billed to your insurance. Bring your insurance card it you have on and photo ID. Faith Community Church is located at 894 E. Huron River Drive.
Detroit
Gleaner’s Community Food Bank will bring its mobile drive-thru food distribution to the St. Suzanne Cody Rouge Community Resource Center on Wednesday, November 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. The community center is located at 19321 W. Chicago Street, east of Evergreen Road. No appointment is necessary.
Garden City
Gleaners Community Food Bank will bring its mobile drive-thru food distribution to the Radcliff Center on Monday, November 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. The Radcliff Center is located at 1851 Radcliff Street, just south of Ford Road. No appointment is necessary.
River Rouge
The River Rouge City Council will meet on Tuesday, November 6 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Court Room at City Hall, located at 10600 W. Jefferson.
The Wayne Mobile Health Unit, in partnership with the River Rouge Food Pantry, will be at Ann Visger Elementary School on Wednesday, November 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. Services provided will include blood pressure screening, diabetes, cholesterol, and kidney function screening. Standard flu vaccines will be administered, depending on availability and will be billed to your insurance. Insurance is not required but if you have insurance bring your card so they can bill for services. If you have ID, bring that as well. Visger Elementary School is located at 11121 W. Jefferson Avenue.
Riverview
Alateen is a peer support group for teens who are struggling with the effects of someone else’s problem drinking. The Riverview Serenity Alateen meeting takes place on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. at St. Cyprian’s Catholic Church, located at 13249 Pennsylvania Road. To find out more about Alateen call 888-425-2666.
Westland
The Westland City Council will meet on Monday, November 4 at 7 p.m. at Westland City Hall, located at 36300 Warren Road.

Wyandotte
The Wayne Mobile Health Unit, in partnership with The Salvation Army Downriver Corps Health Screening and Molina Healthcare, will be at the Salvation Army on Tuesday, November 5. In addition to blood pressure screening, diabetes, cholesterol, and kidney function screening, urinalysis testing and retina imagining services will be offered. No appointment will be necessary but if you have questions, call 313-448-9850. The Salvation Army is located at 1258 Biddle Ave.

Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) operates a 24/7 Mobile Crisis Response Team which can provide short-term crisis response and intervention for anyone, adults and children, who are experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis. The crisis line can be reached at 800-241-4949.
