U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Other guests included Mr. Bill Bazzy, Mayor of Dearborn Heights; Mr. Todd Bettison, Detroit Deputy Mayor; Dearborn Police Department, Detroit Police Department, Dearborn Heights Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff's Office. It was a memorable evening for everyone. The dinner was an opportunity to reaffirm and send the message that law enforcement at all levels and the community's faith and civic leaders are partners aspiring for the common good of the country. "We are delighted to hold this annual iftar dinner," said ICD Executive Director Sufian Nabhan. "The purpose of this event is to show and express appreciation to American law enforcement," added Nabhan. "We thank everyone who attended," concluded Nabhan. "Ongoing engagement and dialogue with stakeholders are vital to building trust and understanding," said Imad Hamad, AHRC Executive Director. "In a democracy, the government is not they, it is us together," stated Hamad.
