The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Tutt is the son of Shanette Reed and Tonnato Tutt of Detroit and is a 2017 graduate of Detroit Denby High School in Detroit.

Smart is the former ward of Stephanie C. Stephens, granddaughter of Joe Lewis, and wife of Thomas J. Smart of Detroit.

She is a 2009 graduate of Renaissance High School, Detroit.. She earned a Bachelor's degree in 2014 from Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN.

Johnson is the son of David Johnson of Harper Woods and he is 2017 graduate of Harper Woods High School.

Berro is the daughter of Imad Berro of Dearborn. She is a 2011 graduate of Fordson High School in Dearborn and she earned a bachelor's degree in 2015 from Wayne State University.
