City Of Ecorse Bringing Back The Fun

City of Ecorse ready for Movie Night at Dingell Park

This Summer has been an interesting one to say the least. The freeways are constantly clogged with construction, potholes are still fighting strong, and it's been historically hot.

Not to mention Lebron James is now a LA Laker.

Summer 2018 has brought us two more surprises, straight from the city of Ecorse Michigan. Mayor Lamar Tidwell, and his team are welcoming back the Riverfront Fireworks Show and Family Movie Nights in the Park. The first movie night will be July 6th. A company donated the equipment to the City, since the materials are in house Mayor Tidwell plans to make movie nights a regular thing.

It's been about ten years since the previous fireworks show. The event takes place July 7th, and is expected to bring the city out. When asked how it all came together Mayor Tidwell stated, "In the past five years the city has been able to balance budgets, gain a surplus and be able to budget money. We also received donations from people to ensure the event is going to happen."

The Mayor also let me know a few other luxuries are on their way to Ecorse, but you'll have to wait to hear them from me.

The festivities take place July 6th and 7th. The Fireworks will begin at dusk on the 7th. Myself and the Telegram Newspaper wishes everyone good safe fun.
