We have a dynamite show for you today. We have a young lady here that is 98 years old. Mother Green welcome to The Community Shall Be Restored TV Program.

Mother Green:

Thank you, it is GOD that keep me I can't keep myself.

Prophet Cedric Banks:

Mother Green so how are you feeling today?

Mother Green:

I feel great. I will be 99 years old on December 1, 2018, and I only take one prescription. I take my vitamins everyday and I eat my meals. I hear people say old folks don't eat but I say this old lady do. I love to eat my meals but I do not like junk food. I don't do microwave, and I cook from scratch.

Prophet Cedric Banks:

What are some of the main foods that you eat? You will be 99 years old, you have longevity.

Mother Green:

Well,I have oatmeal for breakfast, then I have some type of greens, turnip greens and I like beans. I get plenty of beans and cornbread. I cook my vegetables with just onions and olive oil. I don't use meat. I like my sweets too.

Prophet Cedric Banks:

Olive oil and vegetables are really good for you. Mother Green tell the listening audience how old you were when you stopped driving.

Mother Green:

I was 97 years old. I did volunteer work and I had to drive a long ways. I worked with homeless people and I really enjoyed it. Some were young men and they would say, oh you are such an inspiration to us. I was just taking their tickets, smiling and would speak to them. Once I was standing in line at the grocery store and this man behind me said you are really a child of GOD.

Then I said do you go to my church. He said no, I do not know where your church is located. But I always say you wear your heart on your face and it is not what I say I am but it is how you live your life that says it.

Al Banks:

Mother Green where were you born, in Detroit or somewhere else.?

Mother Green:

I was born in Alabama on a farm. So I know what hard work is, my dad was a farmer. I am the second child out of 10. There were 10 of us, 9 girls and 1 boy.

Al Banks:

What part of Alabama?

Mother Green:

Selma out in the country. We were born out in the country in Sardis, Alabama and like I tell my children. My father raised cotton and corn and vegetables. We ate what we would raise on the farm. We would work from when you could see, until you couldn't see. We did not work by the hour. I havebeen in Detroit since 1950.
