Idiocy has reached a new level. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has declared cow's milk racist. Is this what we have become? Declaring everything racist?

And it isn't for what you may think. It isn't because milk is white.

No.

PETA says it is the way the dairy industry treats the cows.

Comparing the dairy industry to white supremacists. PETA came out with and article called "Why Cow's Milk Is the Perfect Drink for Supremacists". A quote from the article says: " As when Christoph Waltz's character in Inglorious Bastards drinks a glass of milk and a character in a pivotal scene of Get Out sips the cow secretion, dairy milk has long been embraced as a symbol of white supremacy.

Aside from "lactose-tolerant" white supremacists, cow's milk really is the perfect drink of choice for all (even unwitting) supremacists, since the dairy industry inflicts extreme violence on other living beings. PETA is trying to wake people up to the implications of choosing this white beverage and suggesting that they choose something else pronto."

"Lactose-tolerant"?

Is this now a buzz word for racist? They also bring up rape. "Rape is perhaps the single most heinous crime involving both power and violence. But it's standard procedure in the dairy industry."

Now dairy farmers are racists and rapists. Did any tell African American dairy farmers that they are actually white supremacists? I bet that conversation would be a hoot and a half.

Really, PETA is taking two serious issues and trivializing them. Rape and racism are important issues and something like milk being racist does a disservice and mocks those that has actually gone through them.

Me, I am going to get nice, cold glass of milk and enjoy.
