"HELLO" from New Paradigm College Prep

January 10, 2019

The students and staff from New Paradigm College Prep in Southwest Detroit gave a warm "Hello" to the seniors at the Ecorse Manor at 4560 Ninth Street in Ecorse, Mi. The students from Pre-K through fifth grade made art projects for the seniors' Activity Room. The Community Connection Committee delivered and placed colorful paper quilts and beautifully decorated cards with motivating messages inside.

One of the fifth grade artist, Alana Collins, talked and shared a photo with Mr. Clarence Wesley, 76 years of age on the right, Mr. Bobby Smith, 79 years of age in the middle, and Mr. Horace Adams on the left, Ms. Bearden, teacher at NPCP, and 5th grade student Alana Collins kneeling in front. Mrs. Collins, and Mrs. Bearden, teachers at NPCP, were also on hand to put up the display.

Thanks to Ms. Cheryl Starr, our Community Connection at the facility, for her diligence and time organizing our efforts so we may have a relationship with our beloved seniors and our community.

The students plan on continuing to provide a link with the Ecorse Manor and other businesses in the area so we may grow together. This effort was a part of the Community Connection committee at New Paradigm College Prep, principal, Mr. Michael Bagley, located at 2450 S. Beatrice Street in Southwest Detroit, 48217.
