Nominations Sought for Romulus Hometown Hero Awards

ROMULUS - The City of Romulus Police, Fire & Safety Commission is seeking nominations for the 2019 Hometown Hero Awards.

Nominations are being sought in the following categories: Outstanding Educator, Courage, Outstanding Citizen/Group and Veteran. Residents are encouraged to pick up in-person or download and print the forms to nominate someone who fits one of these categories at the following locations: Romulus City Hall, Romulus Chamber of Commerce, Romulus Athletic Center, Romulus Library, or the City of Romulus Website, http://www.romulusgov.com/HometownHeroes.

Applications and supporting documents must be returned by mail to the address below by March 29, 2019 to be considered.

A committee will review all award applications and a selection will be made based on the committee's recommendations. All residential and community members are encouraged to participate.

Do you know an educational services professional who is dedicated, inspiring, and making a difference in our schools? A citizen or organization who consistently demonstrates excellent community leadership by "stepping up to the plate" and has made a significant contribution to the community through his/her/their involvement by giving many hours of personal time? A courageous person who exemplifies courage, kindness, and unselfish character through their acts of heroism in or out of our community? A veteran of the US Military that has made significant contributions above and beyond the call of duty?
