Ecorse School District Celebrates Cinco De Mayo

 

High school students were dressed in traditional clothes and they performed traditional dances that they learned early in the week.

The Ecorse School District celebrated Cinco De Mayo with a full week of activities that were held through-out the district. There was as had aI'm reaching out to let you know we have a week full of activities to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Students were exposed to the Hispanic culture through food, dance, music and clothing.

Students participated in activities to make the Mexican flag

Students at Bunche Elementary school had the opportunity break pinatas. The Mexican Folkloric Dancers performed for the students at Grandport Academy. Students from the High School will be dressed up with traditional mexican dresses and will be going through out the school building participating with the students in some activities and dancing for them.

There was also lots of red and green and decorations to get the students in a festive mood.

They closed out the activities at Ecorse Community High School with a mariachi band and a dancing Folkloric group.
