22nd Freedom Fund Dinner Honorees named

ALLEN PARK, MI – The NAACP Western Wayne County Branch will host their 2019 NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 5:00pm – 7:00 p.m. (Seating will begin at 4:30 p.m.) The dinner will be held at The Prestige Banquet Hall at 6600 Allen Rd in Allen Park. A Meet & Greet Soiree will take place from 7:00pm – 8:00pm.

NAACP Western Wayne County Branch is pleased to announce that Lt. Governor - Garlin Gilchrist II will be the Keynote Speaker and Keith Crispen – CEO of the Crispen Group will serve as the Master of Ceremony.

Lifetime Achievement Award - Roy Wilson - President of the Inkster NAACP - 1960 – 1970

Great Expectations - Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib - 13th District

Freedom & Justice - Judge Deborah Thomas - Michigan 3rd Circuit Court Judge

Community Service Award – Seed 2 Feed Foundation - Men's group in Inkster reaching the community

Trailblazer Award – Jayla Washington - She is founder of a youth mentoring program and host several events that focus on engaging millennials in the community?

Leading Through Service - Elected Official Award – Wayne County Commissioner Glenn Anderson

The theme for this year is:

"OUR FUTURE IS NOW...STAND WITH US"

The prices for this spectacular event are $100.00 for adult tickets and $50.00 for youth tickets. Each ticket includes a one-year membership to the NAACP. Table of Eight pricing is available. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
