This new site was opened with a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). WWFHC operates three other full service community health centers in Inkster, Taylor and Lincoln Park. Care at any of these centers is open to all, regardless of where they live. "Our goal is to make care easy to get so that people stay healthy; better manage chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma; and are able to be screened for preventable things like cancer" says Linda Atkins, CEO of WWFHC. "Western Wayne Family Health Centers has been offering high quality health care since 2006 and we keep growing to meet the needs of our community." Atkins continues, "When we found out that the area in the 48126 zip code was considered a high need area, we wanted to apply for the grant funding and open our fourth center there so that it was easier for people to get the care they need."

The Dearborn center, located in suites 245 & 255 in the building, started seeing patients on January 8, 2020. Administrative offices of WWFHC will also be moving to the Town Center building soon. WWFHC is inviting everyone to come and meet our staff.

The Dearborn location is now open for patient appointments and walk in care Monday through Friday. Appointments can be made by calling 313-561-5100. Bilingual staff (speaking both Arabic and Spanish) will be available by phone and at the centers. Assistance is offered for those who want to apply for Medicaid or Healthy Michigan Plan coverage.
