Most of us are familiar with Telegraph Road, or US 24. In Michigan, it extends from the Ohio border to points north in Oakland County and beyond. The route lends mobility to the region and is peppered along the way with thousands of businesses, some of which are sporting Help Wanted signs. We will feature a handful of those opportunities here.

Rex's Golden Grill in Dearborn is hiring wait staff. Indoor dining has recently reopened at this family-owned restaurant and daily specials ought to persuade customers in. Apply in person at 2424 Telegraph Road, just south of Michigan Avenue.

Also in Dearborn, Cottage Inn Pizza is looking for team members. The pizza chain was voted #1 in ClickOnDetroit's annual survey of local businesses. Cottage Inn has locations in Lincoln Park, Romulus and Westland as well.

In Redford, Starbucks Coffee is hiring for baristas and a shift supervisor. The coffee shop chain originated in Seattle, Washington in 1971. If food service is not for you, Traveler's Motor Inn, also in Redford, is needing help in their housekeeping department to clean and sanitize motel rooms. Apply in person at 9939 Telegraph Road, south of Plymouth Road.

Also in Redford, Sun Valley Supermarket opened last spring in a location previously occupied by Kroger. The new market was remodeled and updated and is currently accepting applications. The market offers farm-fresh produce, baked goods, meat and seafood, and services including bill pay, postal, and lottery. Go to to find an online application.
