Westland, MI - Due to the recent wet weather, the City of Westland is being proactive in its fight against the summer pest through a comprehensive mosquito abatement program. This program is designed to eliminate mosquito larvae in standing water before hatching.

Beginning next week, The Department of Public Service will physically insert Natural G30 WSP Spinosad Briquettes to 7,300 catch basins throughout our community that may pose as a potential mosquito breeding ground. The remainder will be available to Homeowners Associations, residents with ponds and other potential hot spots.
