Members of the Ecorse Senior Birthday Club held its first birthday celebration in almost 17 months on Friday, July 30 at the Ecorse boat ramp picnic shelter on Jefferson Avenue. A picnic lunch for all was provided courtesy of Ecorse Mayor Lamar Tidwell, who credited members of Ecorse City Council for helping to pull the event together. The Senior Birthday Club normally meets monthly at the Ethel V. Stevenson Senior Center to celebrate the birthdays of each month, but the COVID-19 pandemic halted such gatherings.
