It's Election Season Learn who the candidates are

September 2, 2021

Several cities in Wayne County will have a General Election on Tuesday, November 2nd. I know it is not the Presidential election, but it is important that you exercise your right to vote.

It is time to learn about the candidates who are running to represent you. They are not vying for the position of President of United States. The positions that they are trying to hold has more of an effect on your daily lives than the presidency. The positions are Mayors/Supervisors, City Council persons/trustees, Clerks, Treasures and Judges.

Take some time to get to know the candidates. I always encourage people to attend City Council meeting, but when there is an election, this is the optimal time to stop by. Learn what is going on and how your vote will make a difference.

Once you turn 18 years old, you have the right to vote. The General Election is about two months away. Make sure you have what you need to vote. Stop by your local city clerk's office to register and ask any questions you may have.

To see your ballot visit your clerk office or go to http://www.mvic.sos.state.mi.us.

Don't miss out on your opportunity to vote. There are many issues that many of OUR State Senators and State Representatives are working on to change Our Voting Rights, so please pay attention.

You have the right to vote according to the 15th Amendment and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Please Vote and encourage your family to vote.
