Promoting Reading at Home for Sabbath School Students

Sabbath Middle School staff and the nonprofit organization Legacy of Literacy, Inc has partnered since 2018 to encourage students to read in and out of school. The latest literacy initiative provides books for students to build home libraries to promote daily reading after school. Families have been able to select books to take home when picking up learning packets from the school office.

Mr. Demond Thomas, the principal, is delighted to report how excited parents were to receive free books for their children to keep at home. He especially wants to continue this initiative in March, whic...
