A simple google search will tell you that a woman is "an adult female human being". Although that statement is true, the definition of what a woman is goes far beyond the simplicity of gender. Some people will go as far as defining women as the future and or protectors of humanity.

Mrs. Kierra Wilson, a wife, mother, student success navigator for Henry Ford Community College, model, entrepreneur, licensed makeup artist and fashion designer, says that "a woman is not defined by specific gender roles and ideals, nor can she be reduced to her sex in terms of chromosomes, anatomy, and physiology. Ultimately, a woman is defined by their acts of humility." That is why it is very important to Mrs. Wilson to be her best self regardless of who is watching. Wilson thanks her ancestors for leaving her with the obligation to make it a priority to remain selfless and kind in hopes that anyone who is in her presence will embody the same positive attitude; Specifically, her children and family.

Mrs. Wilson is a mother of three who takes great pride in being a mother. She often refers to her kids and her family as the inspiration behind the woman she is now saying "My children and family have inspired me to be the woman I am now. "Knowing that I am a guide for my children and a tool my family can utilize has motivated me to strive to become the best version of myself."

The version of herself where she constantly seeks a higher education, helps people along the way and uses her company M.A.D Goddess LLC to create pieces that speaks to her heart and fulfills her soul. Wilson started creating her dream life 20 years ago. Working as a cosmetologist, she studied at Henry Ford to obtain her Associates Degree in both Business Administration and Liberal Arts. In her free time she would also work as a model. With her new credentials she decided to become an advisor for Henry Ford as well as a licensed makeup artist. While working full time, taking care of a household and doing her side hustles, Wilson went on to then graduate from Siena Heights University with a Bachelors of Multidisciplinary Studies and a Master of Business Administration. This was the proudest moment of her life.

Wilson loved the woman she became and was very proud of herself however, she was not satisfied. Deep down Wilson knew her heart yearned for more and because she could miraculously do more, she did. She started out as a model and transitioned into a career in designing in the fall of 2021. Wilson has an impeccably busy schedule and says the secret to juggling so many different things is to "learn the importance of self care. Thanks to a friend, I now focus on three zones, my comfort zone, my stretch zone, and my panic zone. I think stretching can be well balanced but if I feel panicked and highly stressed daily then I know I need to let a ball or two go and that's ok."

Wilson does not allow societal pressures to decipher what she can and cannot handle. However, people push misogynistic views upon her often. She even goes on the record expressing that "many of the societal pressures I face have been placed on me by other women as well, not just men. I was told that I needed to quit school and work and tend to my family. These are societal pressures that the men in my life had never dealt with."

That issue is one of the reasons why Wilson advises young women to remain true to themselves despite where they come from, their ethnicity or how anybody feels. She also encourages them not to rush into life too soon "take as much help as you can get and surround yourself with positive influences and people you can learn from. Seek mentorship and stay focused. Expect to make mistakes along the way and keep going".
