It's All About the Detroit Sports Fans

April 14, 2022

Sports Fans in Detroit, cannot be compared! There is a love for the home team, that is unexplainable in this city. This week, Sports Fans were seen Downtown Detroit having the time of their lives with closing out the Pistons season and beginning the Tigers season, with Opening Day. It was week of Detroit Love!!!

By now, have you ever experienced being at a sports event in the D? If so, then you know the fans are in a league of their own! No matter if the teams are winning or losing, Detroiters are going to show up and show out in full support. In fact, all of our Professional teams know that their fans are vital in setting the atmosphere during home games.

This past season at Little Caesars Arena, The Detroit Pistons brought out the Ice Cam. At any time during the game, the camera would spotlight fans on the Jumbotron that were dressed in true Detroit Fashion. As a Detroiter, it made you think twice about your outfit before walking out the door.

Here in Detroit, the energy level from fans remains consistent both on-and-off season. Once the season starts, it's showtime and it's a very big deal! On Opening Day of the Detroit Tigers, fans were seen all around in their Detroit Tiger's gear. The level of excitement is so contiguous that it extends beyond just the fans in the ballpark, it spills over to those that are outside tailgating and bar-hopping.

With fans in mind, this season, Comerica Park has added some new items to their list of expanding the fans experience. Starting with newly added menu-items such as the Pulled-Pork sandwich with Jalapeno Mac and Cheese, Gyro Nachos and many more. Inside the ballpark, new improvements and renovations have been made such as the Chevy Pavilion, the Rocket Entry formerly known as Gate B and a new suite area called, The Gallagher Suite Level. The Chevy Pavilion is where fans can go for general updates and to hangout on the concourse, said, Donavan Powell, Corporate Partnerships of the Detroit Tigers/Detroit Red Wings. Lastly, 313 Presents will host several concerts at Comerica Park including Chris Stapleton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Elton John, Deff Leppard & Motley Crue and Billy Joel.

So, as you can see, here in Detroit it's all about the Fans. They are true ride-or-die, win-or-lose no matter if it's the Pistons, Tigers or even the Lions. There is no other city like Detroit! Detroiters come to show their full support for the home team!
