Move Up Michigan

Michigan wants a bigger say in presidential elections, and one way to do that is to move up the state’s presidential primary election.

Michigan currently holds its presidential primary in March - far down on the list.

That’s why State Democratic leaders are pushing to make the state one of the first in the 2024 presidential primary season. Currently, Iowa is first, followed by New Hampshire.

In a letter to the Democratic National Committee signed by Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters (D – Mich.) and seven US House Members from Michigan said:
