Inkster native has shot at nationwide magazine cover

It's not everyday someone gets a chance at a nationwide magazine cover.

That's a fact Andranae Moore is very aware of.

"I'm just happy to be in this position," the 25-year-old Inkster native said during an interview this past Sunday.

Moore is in the running to be the 2022 Maxim Cover Girl. She is currently in the top 15, and it is based on fan voting. The winner earns a trip to Paris, a $25,000 cash prize, and of course being featured on the cover of Maxim Magazine.

Although she's been modeling professionally for six years, Moore states that it's pretty much in her blood.

"My mom used to model with Kenya Moore back in the day, but her career was short lived because my grandmother got sick and had to look after her," she said.

Moore states that she would use the $25,000 to launch a skin-care line named in honor of her now-deceased grandmother.

The Romulus High School graduate has done plenty of freelance work, and is an all-in-one force herself.

"I've put them together myself, the hair, makeup, all of that," she said. She also is a poet and a songwriter.

Moore is aware that she is not just representing herself.

"It is quite a bit of pressure, because I feel like I have to represent for my city like I should," she says. "We have and had so much talent in this city, that I feel that we should be just as well known as Detroit."

Fan voting and donations close at the end of June 30. To vote, visit this link: visit this link https://maximcovergirl.com/2022/official-andranae. In addition, follow some of her work on her Instagram page at drebad23.
