REDFORD TOWNSHIP, - On Tuesday, August 23, Redford Township's Board of Trustees signed a proclamation to name August 25 to 31, 2022 as Black Breastfeeding Week, which is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
The proposed proclamation states that Redford Township "is committed to building a new foundation for breastfeeding while celebrating past, present and future accomplishments in breastfeeding outcomes" and "believes that it is necessary to forge a community-wide effort amongst its community members, government, private health care, community-based organizations and non-profit organizati...
