Ecorse Police Officers were recognized during the Ecorse City Council meeting for their dedication to keeping the communities safe.

On 9/8/2022, Officer Duane Pennyman and Mitchell Heaney @ 10:35 am, responded to a citizen report of 2 subjects walking in the area of 19th and Francis, who were clearly carrying firearms. Upon their arrival, the suspects fled into the city of River Rouge and were pursued by the officers.
