The ladies of Delta Sigma Theta dropped off baskets to Union Second Baptist Church in River Rouge

The Inkster Deltas hosted their ' 1 Day- 2 Serve -3 Ways' on November 20th. They collected items at a Hustle For Turkeys event held on Friday, November 18th. At this event, they had an instructor who facilitated hustle-line dances for all (60) participants who attended. Each attendee was asked to bring non-perishable items as donations. The items were then distributed to local churches on Sunday, November 20th. They collected over 300 nonperishable items for donation that night along with monetary donations that were used for additional grocery items for each basket.

The ladies of Delta Sigma Theta dropped off baskets to Springhill Missionary Baptist Church in Inkster.

• Each basket contained items such as macaroni noodles, canned green beans and greens, canned yams, chicken broth, boxed stuffing mix, corn bread mix, instant mashed potato, gravy, cranberry sauce, a box cake mix and iced frosting. Additionally, each basket contained a Kroger gift card to purchase a turkey and a greeting card with a wish for a blessed holiday signed by the Inkster Alumnae Chapter President, Vivian L. Kirkland.

• This was a collaboration between the Membership, Community Service and Physical & Mental Health Committees of the Inkster Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

• The Inkster Alumnae Chapter serves residents in the Western Wayne County area.
