REDFORD, Mich. – (March 25, 2024) – Not listening to his mother paid off for Antoine Evans, who is now the proud Owner/Operator of three Detroit-area McDonald's restaurants.

"I started working at McDonald's when I was 15 years-old," Evans said. "My mom always told me that you go during business hours when you're looking for a job. Don't go on the weekends because the boss is probably busy, but definitely don't go on a Sunday. Well, I went after hours, I waited for about 30 minutes, the guy said, "Oh my! I need you to come back on Sunday to talk to my boss!' and I've been working at McDonald's ever since."

Fast-forward and Evans now gets to not only be a boss, but McDonald's owner/operator. He recently acquired two Redford locations at 11310 Telegraph Rd. and 15301 Telegraph Rd., along with 25341 Michigan Ave. at Gulley in Dearborn.

Evans prides himself as a boss who cares for his staff like they are family, making sure they are taken care of, provides feedback and also gives grace when needed.

As far as the customers, Evans likes to greet them at the door and introduce himself. As a new Owner/Operator in the community, he's eager to get out and meet his neighbors. "I want to do some backpack events to help children who need to get back to school, fill their bags with some of the good things that they need as well as I want to do a shoe drive and we'll work with the departments that be so we can set those things up and do those types of things in the community just so we can help."
