The Michigan Cohort Launch was a huge success

Community members and Religious leaders joined together for the first Michigan Cohort held in Detroit.

This historic convening of the community was a huge success. The goal was to empower and celebrate the Michigan faith based, community based, and business partners to share pivotal resources. The attendees in person and virtually heard from representatives for key Department of Commerce initiatives and priorities, including opportunities to engage with the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. The information that was given will help further the mission, to promote equity, job creation, and economic growth, bringing together small and minority businesses, communities and faith based organizations.

The Michigan Cohort Launch was hosted by Director Mr. Andres Chong-Qui Torres Director of Department of Commerce Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnership OFBNP and with the Department of Commerce Deputy Secretary Mr. Graves. The Dept. of Economic Development Administration EDA Minority Business Development Agency and NoAA Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NoAA in partnership with Dr. Jim Holley, Bobbie Wallace and team Pastor Lisa Wilson, Pastor Whitehill, Pastor William, Bishop Burns and Dr. Ivory WCCCD.
