Did you remember to vote?

August 9, 2018

I know it was the primaries and you can't vote across party lines, but it was important to make your choices

known for the general election in November. I don't like the fact that you can't vote across party lines in the primaries. I wanted to vote for both John James for Senate and Shri Thanedar for Governor.

I think it will be Bill Schuette and Gretchen Whitmer getting the nods for governor. Wait a second?? Did Jim just say he wanted Shri Thanedar to get the nomination for governor for the Democrats. Yeah I know, I don't agree with anything he stands for, but I do think he is a breath of fresh air. He came to this country, created

a company and had to meet a pay roll. So he does know a bit about what a business owner has to put up with to run a company. Plus he has a great self depreciating sense of humor. And he keeps Whitmer from the governor's office, which would be a rehash of Jennifer Granholm, and we all know what happened there. When done with the state she took off for California.

A Whitmer-Schuette race will be Trump-Hillary part two. Neither one enthuses me. Both will attack each other

pretty well, but nothing really fun or truthful. As of this writing I have no idea who is winning, but I don't

think we get a good choice. Calley-Thanedar would be less fun but I think they would be less likely to just attack each other and actually give us reasons to vote for them.

Well we now have the general election to contend with and we watch as things get more exciting. And we get more political ads on TV and radio.
