Are you able to Multi-task? In 2020, you must be.
March 19, 2020
There is so much going on that you have to be able to manage more than one thing as once. I have always bragged that I can multi-task, but even I am being challenged to stay focused.
The Coronavirus has really changed the way we live, think and plan our future. My circle of friends and our parents are in the sixty year old and older category. So I am extra cautious of my interactions. We have cancelled many trips, events and meetings as to adhere to social distancing. When the schools closed throughout the entire state, that meant it was serious.
So now we move to the 2020 Elections. It is going on and we need to have a good turnout for the August and November elections so that the best people are re-elected or elected. That doesn't happen overnight. We have been planning for this since last year. But now that Door Knocking is questionable; we have to rethink the process. But we must press on.
Next, the 2020 Census Forms are being received and people need to get them turned in. We also had planned activities to increase the number of people that return their forms. But mow we have to rethink this strategy as we strive to get more people counted.
Lastly, the Telegram News is celebrating our 75th Anniversary and we want to stay relevant as we keep our readers informed, empowered, educated and uplifted. We want to always tell the local stories, but sometimes it is more important to tell the Big Picture. I believe that each of our cities, residents and organizations in Wayne County play a role in the viability of the country, but the issues that we are currently dealing with affects the world.
Please pray for us and I will pray for you. We have to stay focused and busy. I just want the readers of the Telegram to commit to stay focused, stay healthy, get engaged and continue to read. We will do our best to keep you informed about everything that is going on
