    Derrick Howard, a second-grade student at Taft-Galloway Elementary adopted his entire school for the holidays! He told his mom that not all of his friends might get gifts for Christmas so he wanted to get something for all the students at his school. His mom reached out to a network of willing helpers and she and Derrick spent the few weeks before the Christmas break collecting and sorting the gifts.     The Inkster Deltas hosted their ' 1 Day- 2 Serve -3 Ways' on November 20th. They collected items at a Hustle For Turkeys event held on Friday, November 18th. At this event, they had an instructor who facilitated hustle-line dances for all (60) participants who attended. Each attendee was asked to bring non-perishable items as donations.     The All Star Turkey Give Away has been giving back to the community for 24 years. This year they passed out over 3,000 meals to community members from throughout the Metropolitan Detroit area at River Rouge High School. The set up was a Drive Thru format with vehicles starting as far back as the Jefferson Bridge that connects Detroit to the Downriver Communities..
